Brittany ,Caitlin Canty's Recording King guitar sent me on a long trail that brought me here. While I'm here I might as well say I borrowed one of the most fantastic Mountain gospel bluegrass fiddles from the Appalachians. At the time it was probably between 120 to 150 yrs old. It sat in the case a very long time bridge broke collapsed, I carefully put it all back then when you played it it was nothing but complete Awesome , it had the power to take an average person to make them into a great violin player.... I know ,I know we see violins that run about 200. bucks all the time ,but some of them are 30-50 -120 250 thousand dollars .of course we're not going to talk about a Stradivarius.. I self-taught myself a some interesting pieces but after 2-1/2 years the owner asked for it. The honest person I am simply handed it over to them ouch... 30 - 50,000 value easily, I've been in history, Antiquities for most of my life... I would have gave it to Brittany because I know her passion is genuine and that is hard to fake.

When uncle Larry says you're a badass guitar player you're probably one of the greatest guitar players alive today. I know it's not a competition and there's no such thing as " the best guitar player in the world". But guys like Bryan here could safely be considerd as a great musician and a monster guitar player. But cats like him are always humble, they understand the concept of "the more you learn the more you realize how much you don't know.."

Excellent exercise for warm up or just becoming accustomed to playing the "in-between" notes rather than avoiding them! 60 years ago, when I was an 8-year-old beginner violinist, adding the chromatic scales to the usual major/minor scales really helped fill out one's understanding of the fingerboard and our 12-tone system. Thank you for the video - it is a great reminder that there are other notes to play and use when writing.

This is a great and helpful lesson Keith even for person like me. Nice job... However I have to correct you on something. I apologize especially given this is the first time I have watched one of your video's. The 12 bar blue's does not just consist of 3ea / 4 bar sections in a typical 1-4-5 progression. For example lets take a look at the old famous 12 bar blues song " Before you accuse me". The 1 chord (E) is played for 1 bar / then the 4 chord (A) is played for 1 bar / then back to the 1 chord for 2 bars / then to the 4 chord for 2 bars / then 1 chord (E) again for 2 bars / then to the 5 chord (B) for 1 Bar (This is where the turn around begins) / the (A) for 1 bar / (E) for 1 bar / The finally (B) for 1 bar. So lets add that up E1 + A1+ E2+ A2+ E2+B1+A1+E1+B1= 12 Bars.....The thing is- there many variations of the 12 bar blues - Trust your ear.
